Yukari is a pole and aerial performer. She was first introduced to pole dancing at studio Luxurica in 2007. Since 2008, Yukari has studied Aerial silks from Kumi Wakaida at Aerial Art Dance Project in Tokyo. Yukari’s choreography focuses on smooth and flowing movements with an attentiveness to detail. Her endurance, strength, and balance are rooted in her gymnastic experiences from childhood. Yukari’s gymnastic skills have been further heightened from training with Kazutaka Yoshino of Cirque du Soleil at Studio Artriz. Yukari’s multiple disciplines came together when she won Miss Pole Dance Japan 2011 and 2012, and Far Eastern Pole Dance & Acrobatic Championship 2011 1st in acrobatic division. After that in 2011, she decided to focus on her career in performing. Before she became a professional performer, Yukari graduated from Tokyo University of Foreign Studies, and worked as a procurement officer in Crude oil and IT industries for five years. Since 2011, she has performed on national TV, in a well-established elite retail complex, and recurring performances at the biggest night club in Japan, Ageha. In 2012, due to her success, she has been accepted as a part of the Cirque du Soleil database of cast members as an aerialist and pole artist. To enhance her abilities, she began training with Reebok CrossFit. As an instructor, Yukari teaches aerial pole and pole dance in famous studios around Japan. She is bilingual, in English and Japanese, and has taught workshops in many countries such as Korea, Russia, and the USA with more coming in November in Brazil and Hong Kong.
