Woman Suffers a Concussion After Pole Dancing
A woman from Halifax, Nova Scotia suffered a concussion after attempting to invert on a pole. Elizabeth Pierce was in a beginner’s class when she was encouraged to hang upside down. She fell on her head which was about a foot away from the floor at a time. “A lot of people think it’s just about strippers going in and doing their little dance or whatever, but it’s so much more than that, it’s like vertical gymnastics,” she told CBC News. Pierce is now encouraging others to be cautious when learning to pole dance and blogging about her experience. Click here to read the full story.
