The Pulse Project’s “Love & Guts” will be performed at the end of the month in NYC as part of its year-long Underground Series. This show will focus on the strength of women through various stories of life experiences. The Pulse Project was created by choreographer Brook Notary after taking her first pole dancing class in 2009. Brook had an overwhelming fascination with pole and was inspired to use it as a prop in her choreography. The Pulse Project was created soon after. The troupe uses the apparatus of pole to create art, tell stories and challenge some negative stereotypes about pole dancing. What: Underground Series-Part 1 “Love & Guts” When: May 30th-June 1st Where: Sacred Studios in Brooklyn, NY Time: 8pm Click here to read an interview with Brook on Lori Myers’ blog, Confessions of a Twirly Girl!
