Pole Community Spreads Hope!
Several pole dancers are incorporating fundraising and their love for the pole to give back to different communities. Read on to see who is helping/helped to raise funds for others in need! Poleathon – Pole Boutique – Feb 4 – Milton Keynes, United Kingdom The Pole Boutique Poleathon raised Â£536.65 in February for Cancer Research! The ambitious women at The Pole Boutique will have a Help for Heroes fundraiser in March/April. The Pole Boutique Instructor, Georgina Innes shared with UPA, “Our girls love raising money for others and seeing as pole has built their confidence to such a degree, they’ll happily pole in public (and boy, were we nervous 🙂 and it shows a side to our art/sport which could so easily be left behind.” Circus – Pole Dance Academy – Feb 5 – Sydney, Australia Pole Dance Academy hosted a Circus show where money was relief funds were raised to help flood victims in Australia. The night was a huge success with official earnings reaching $4,300! Here is what Amber Ray had to say about the night, “Out of all of this, i really must commend Sydney on their “sharing pole dance skills”. At the end of the day we all compete against each other and the studios are each others competitiors, but we all know how to get along brilliantly and throw a pole party. I am so blessed to be a part of the Sydney scene!” As you can see, giving back is as easy as doing what you love – pole dancing!!
