New York Pole Dancers Host Hurricane Sandy Benefit
The local pole community in New York City has rallied together. Pole Dance Performers for a Cause (PDPFC) is organizing a fundraising event on November 18, 2012 at 7pm at Sacred Studio in Brooklyn to help those affected by Hurricane Sandy.
As we all know by now, this massive storm has left thousands of families displaced from their homes. Many are still without power or basic amenities. The neighborhoods they once knew have been devastated by destruction. PDPFC is producing this event in an effort to help restore normalcy to those affected by Hurricane Sandy. All donations of money, services, supplies, food, and volunteering will be used towards assisting families in the neighborhoods of Brooklyn that were most affected by the hurricane.
Produced by Alice K. Dugan and Roz Mays, the event includes a show with pole dancers of various backgrounds and training including local instructors, professional performers and competitive dancers. The Diva will serve as host for the evening. Sacred Studio has graciously offered their space for the event.
There will be a $15 suggested donation at the door and a raffle during the event. Donors for the raffle have generously offered products and services, including sportswear from Mika Yoga Wear, a customized charm from Metal Taboo, and a one-hour massage at Soulful Kneads. Dandelion Wine, and Brave Gentleman, Amerex Group, and the Tuck Shop have also contributed to the cause.
If you will be in the New York area on November 18th you can RSVP here!
