I Am Pole Dancer, Hear Me ROAR!
I am pole dancer, hear me roar.! I am going places some have never been before!
Let me just say, my mind is sometimes boggled. 12 years ago, I walked into a strip club and swung around the pole for the first time in my life. There was not a second, in that moment, that I imagined that I would have the opportunity to watch history, real life history, unfold before my eyes on a daily basis. When I told people what I did for a living, some of them snickered at me and discontinued their conversation with me. Now, I watch so many different types of people, on an apparatus that was once so foreign to many, stand before the majority and proclaim their love for pole dancing. They declare, “I’m a pole dancer!”, “iPole” and “I love Pole Dancing”. It makes my heart swell up with pride and my throat tightens up and I struggle to hold back the tears.
The only point to this, is to inspire you to stand up, tell people what makes pole dancing exceptional, speak about what you love, pole dance how you want to pole dance, and know that you are making a difference every time you climb, spin or invert on a pole. You are paving a path for many thousands, heck, millions of people that will follow you. Your name, pictures and videos will be viewed by many, and will infect others to follow you. Pole dancing is taboo? Maybe now, but later, probably not. Our power is immense. If you haven’t noticed, the whole world is talking about us right now. This very moment, and everyday there is another story, and another and another. We are on the news, on T.V., in movies, on commercials and music videos. We are on morning news shows, talk shows, radio shows. The media and the population is obsessed with pole dancing. Let’s show the world, we are here! We are not going away, like us or not! We will keep pole dancing, our children will pole dance, and our children’s children will pole dance, and there is nothing on this planet that will stop us from pole dancing! I am pole dancer, hear me ROAR!!!!
