Marina Heck, a former school teacher, is still out of work after her last principal discovered she was a pole dancer. Marina reluctantly quit her job when she felt like she had no other choice. Marina told UPA contributor, Irmingard Mayer, “I’ve been very discouraged and disappointed. My thought is that due to pole, I’ve really shot myself in the foot as far as my teaching career goes.” Marina competed in the Great Midwest Pole Dancing Competition Elite Division this past weekend in Tinley Park, Illinois. “It’s what I do for me. It’s my therapy…And, there’s absolutely nothing wrong with the sport,” she says. Check out Marina’s performance from the Great Midwest Pole Dancing Competition: http://youtu.be/j-KBR2orKvE
