Lots of people question where pole dancing originated. It’s natural to be curious about the beginning of anything (especially if it’s amazing!), but if you ask most pole dancers they will tell you that Mallakhamb has a big hand in pole dancing history. For the first time ever, a Mallakhamb World Champion, Rajesh Mudki will be touring the world to bring his talents to pole dancers! Pole Legends, a pole dance tour agency, brings Mudki all the way from Mumbai to tour the USA, UK and South America! Pole Dancers at any level are encouraged to sign up and learn this one of a kind art/sport that translates directly to the pole! Rajesh Mudki is a performer and choreographer from Mumbai, India for the ancient sport of Mallakhamb and the aerial arts. Rajesh has trained in Mallakhamb since the age of six, and has mastered the aerial mediums silk, hoop, harness and rope. In 2007 Rajesh was honored with the “Shiv Chattrapati Award” from the Chief Minister of Maharashtra for best athlete of the year. He is the youngest player in history to receive this prestigious award. Rajesh made his choreographic debut on Indian television in 2009, on Dance India Dance’s first season. In that same year, he was given the opportunity to work with Cirque Du Soleil director, Franco Dragone, as both a collaborating choreographer and performer. He has choreographed for many TV shows such as Just Dance, DID Little Masters, Dance ke Superstar, India’s Got Talent, Chak Dhoom Dhoom, and Jhalak Dikhla Ja. In 2010, Rajesh was invited to perform live on The Ellen Degeneres Show in Los Angeles. He was also called by ITV in the UK for Caroline Quentin’s reality show, “A passage through India.” Rajesh currently travels to different countries performing and teaching the most ancient art form, Mallakhamb. http://youtu.be/SbiyXtWSSxY Tour dates: USA 15th June – 15th July South America 15th July – 7th August UK 15th August – 15th September For more information, visit Pole Legends.
