I was born August 15, 1992 in Payson, Utah. When growing up I did small amounts of gymnastics, and power tumbling. It wasn’t until I started all-star cheerleading that I found what I really enjoyed and that was constantly being in the air. I continued to cheer at Cheerz Cheerleading for seven years. I then received a full paid academic and athletic scholarship from Weber State University for grades and cheerleading. I was introduced to pole fitness by my mother and her friend. My mom invited me to go to a pole dancing performance at Legends in Salt Lake City; there I got to watch pole performances by Becca Butcher, Zoraya Judd, and Jenyne Butterfly. I was hooked! I started formal pole training at Studio Soiree in January 2011. I began with intermediate and advanced pole classes, my instructors called me a prodigy student because of how quickly I learned. I began taking regular private lessons with Becca Butcher who quickly became my best friend and mentor. I started teaching with Becca at French Kiss Fitness in November 2011. I received the opportunity to do a pole battle in Las Vegas at aerial pole art where I was awarded first place by audience vote. Anjel Dust then encouraged me to apply for her next competition, International Pole Masters Cup 2012. I introduced a brand new trick (reverse rainbow) as well as new combinations at my first competition. I was surprised by receiving first place and could not have been more honored. I love pole dancing; I believe that it’s one of the best ways for women and men to express their selves in finding strength and beauty in the same sport. The vertical pole has had a huge influence on my life, and has given me the opportunity to meet the most empowered people that have had a true effect on me.
