United Pole Artists closing

Yes, it’s true.  You may have heard the rumor, you may have felt a shift in our digital behavior.  It was important to us that we made an official announcement to you, our audience… United Pole Artists closing is bittersweet.  We are sad to go, but excited for our new ventures in and out of the pole industry.

I founded UPA in 2009 as a hobby, as a bridge to fill the gap between mainstream media and the pole dance community.  It became bigger and bigger as time went on because you the audience needed UPA. It couldn’t have been possible without the team of people who stood behind me and UPA became “we” and “us”.  They’ve helped me and worked with me endlessly to keep it going over the years.  Some have come and gone, some have stayed with UPA for a very long time, but all that came in contributed, supported and did it for the love of pole.

The memories are endless and the lessons have been even more bountiful.  UPA has taught me, personally, so many things about life, friendship, the true meaning of “doing what you love”, business (so many business lessons!) and what hard work truly means.  I hope we have taught you things along the way as well.  After all, our goal was to inform and support you, while educating the outside world about our lifestyle and our love for this activity we call POLE.

On behalf of my entire team, we’d like to say “Thank You”.  Thank you for believing in us, thank you for your support and friendship over the years.  Thank you for loving pole just as much as we do and for always tuning in.

~ Annemarie Davies
